All plans, including those with no monthly premium, have coverage for services such as vision, dental, and hearing, and some plans have Essential Extras that you can choose from to customize your coverage further. The reviewed HMO plans don’t have an annual deductible, but if you choose a PPO, you may have to meet a deductible before your plan pays for health services. The National Committee for Quality Assurance discloses midrange ratings for Blue Cross Blue Shield Medicare Advantage Plans. Of the four rated plans, three are rated 3.0, and one plan is rated 3.5 on a scale of 1 to 5.   

The Better Business Bureau has separate ratings for each of Blue Cross Blue Shield’s insurance companies. Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Georgia has a BBB rating of A+ and has closed five consumer complaints in the last three years.
